Dear Monday - Being Coachable
Have you ever noticed that even the most successful people have a coach? Phil Jackson coached Michael Jordan into greatness; Tiger Woods learned a lot about golf from his dad; Beyonce's vocal coach keeps her voice ready to go on tour. All of these people are talented. In fact, one could argue that they have God-given gifts. But even people with raw talent must be coached if they want to make it to an elite level.
The same goes for having a successful career in real estate. Our very own broker, who coaches our Team Leaders at Exit Elite Realty, has a coach. He made an investment into his success because success leaves clues! Although he knows how to sell real estate very well, he realizes that without a coach, it's easy to drop the ball.
One of the greatest compliments you could ever receive as a sales professional is that you're "coachable". This means that you don't allow your ego or your success to get in the way. This means that you're humble enough to acknowledge that although you know a lot, you don't know it all. It means that you have the proper mindset to evolve. It means that you're not comfortable with settling for mediocrity. It means that you have the ability to be elite.
If you're feeling stuck in your business, be honest with yourself and reflect on whether or not you're coachable. So many of us aspire to make 100k per year, which is no chump change. But when you're coachable, you can go from making 100k per year to making 100k per month!!! It's possible, but only if you're coachable!
