THE GO-GETTER VS. THE NO-GETTER
There are 2 types of Realtors in this industry. There's the go-getter and there's the no-getter! Which one are you?
It's easy to figure out which one you are. Let's discuss the "no-getter" first. These are the agents who complain about EVERYTHING! You'll often hear them saying things like...
"This is a down market"
"I don't work in that area"
"I'm only working with buyers who are approved for 400k & up"
"There's not enough training"
"I don't take calls from clients after 6pm"
"Can I borrow your Sentrilock code"
"Can you log me into MRIS"
"I called the broker but he/she didn't return my call so I'm thinking about moving my license"
The list goes on and on. The "no-getter" blames their lack of success on others and they never seem to look in the mirror. They also refuse to be accountable. These agents will never go far in this business!
Then we have the "go-getter" agents. They are a breath of fresh air! They go out and get EVERYTHING they came for. Their mindset to win guides their vocabulary to say things like this...
"I love going to training"
"I don't do this for the money"
"I can't sleep at night sometimes because I can't stop thinking about my business"
"I read every night and every morning"
"I love my clients"
"I love my brokerage"
"I'm going to the convention so I can learn from the best"
"The office doesn't have a cold calling service so I got my own"
"How can I pour into others"
Do you see the difference? It's pessimism vs optimism. It's failure vs triumph. It's losing vs winning. The "go-getter" agent makes an effort to intentionally seize the day. They always seek to evolve. They want more. They want to be better. They acknowledge that there's always another level to conquer. The "go-getter" gets back up when this business knocks them down. The "no-getter" quits when the forecast calls for rain but the "go-getter" grabs an umbrella and weathers the storm until the rainbow appears.
Success is a choice - GO GET IT!
