Keep Your Eye On YOUR Prize

It's so easy to become distracted when you're self-employed. It's tempting to go and get your nails done instead of cold calling. It's easier to "work from home" while washing clothes and binge watching Netflix than it is to door knock. It's convenient to blow off the sales meeting because you attended the meeting last month. All of these distractions deter you from becoming more productive...

When you're an entrepreneur, because let's face it, you really work for yourself as a Realtor, it is imperative to master the art of keeping your eyes on the prize. Everyone's prize is different. Some are laser focused on making a certain salary while others are pushing towards quitting their day job to become full-time agents. But no matter what your "prize" is, you have to zoom in on your prize and your prize only! When you focus on what other people are doing or saying or how they're behaving or responding, it takes time and effort and focus and attention away from what's most important - YOUR prize. When you align your focus on achieving your personal goals, your vision gains clarity. I have used this approach as it relates to a personal matter I'm enduring and it worked! I'm pleased to testify that this approach has worked wonders as it relates to my business as well. And like most things in life, it's not easy, but it's worth it!

If you're struggling to narrow down what your prize is, take some time to write out some affirmations. Start small with 3-5 and build on them daily. Force a routine to write your affirmations every morning and read them aloud before you go to sleep so that they stay in the forefront of your subconscious thinking. When you keep your eye on YOUR prize, your greatest desires will manifest!
