Storms and Rainbows

Rain. Clouds. Thunder. Lightning. Strong Winds. Hail. These are the makings of a perfect storm. Many of us are scared of the storms in our lives. The rain pours too heavy. The clouds are too dark. The thunder is too loud. The lightning flashes too bright. The winds rattle too loud. The hail pierces too fiercely...
Do you have what it takes to weather the storms in your life? In every arena of our lives, there's two guarantees - storms will come and (we'll save the best one for last). The beautiful thing about a storm is that we already have the tools to endure it - you just don't use your umbrella until the rain starts to fall. Some may venture to say that we're in a storm right now in real estate. Inventory is low; buyers are frustrated; and our colleagues are becoming more and more negligent. But you don't stop working just because the storm clouds rise. You have to keep grinding. You have to keep building. You have to keep learning. You have to keep investing in yourself. You have to keep your head in the game.
The easiest thing to do to weather the storm in real estate is to keep prospecting. Prospect day after day. Prospect when there are 20 deals in your pipeline and when you make 20 calls per day for new business that never get returned. The prospecting turns the storm into a rainbow.
Oh, by the way, that was the 2nd guarantee - the best for last, if you will. The rainbow always comes after the storm so grab your poncho and get to work!
